Abbot brings food to villagers trapped by flood
Trapped by floods, the residents of Village Group 5 in Tambon Watko of Sisamrong District in the northern Thai province of Sukhothai were happily surprised when the local abbot brought food and drinking water to their homes.
The villagers have been trapped by the flood since yesterday (24 August 2020) and they did not know what to do.
Accompanied by temple boys, the abbot gave food and drinking water to the villagers. It took a lot of time to reach each home, but the abbot was happy to help the locals.
“All of you have been kind to me. So when you are in distress, it’s my duty to help you,” said the acting abbot of Plai Chumpol Temple.
