Bueng Kan government buildings flooded

WITH their main office building now surrounded by one-meter-high floodwater, Bueng Kan administrative officials now have to travel by boat to and from their office.

Four other buildings in the compound are also under water. Civil servants and locals who have to contact the officials have to travel by boat, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported today (August 29, 2018).

The water level in other areas of the city is lower, but the flooding has severely affected business activities. Most schools are closed and hospitals have put up sandbags to keep the area dry.
