Cooler weather in Thailand until Jan.15

THAIS who love cool weather are celebrating today’s announcement by the Meteorological Department that temperatures in Bangkok and its adjoining provinces will plunge to 16-18 degrees Celsius on January 13 and 14, Sanook.com reported.

Those who enjoy trekking in mountains in the North and Northeast are advised to bring along warm clothing as the temperature there could be as low as 4 degrees Celsius.

People in Surat Thani and other southern Thai provinces, however, will face heavy rain and storms. Those planning to vacation on southern islands are advised to closely monitor the daily weather reports.
