His speech included main points that included him becoming a full-time politician, and answering questions that the public has been asking him. Where he explains, “I am now a full-time politician, this is because I am managing the country. Politicians are happy when people come to welcome them wherever they go and yell out their name. But, I am not happy, I am willing to be sad and I am willing to die from the work that I am doing, this is because of the hope that the people have in me to work for this country. I cannot lie and say that everything will be fixed, we will slowly take steps forward, the people need to understand the reasoning of government decisions and actions”.

Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha informed the people in the park that he is very happy to come to visit Bueng Kan, as the country has weather that reminds him of Switzerland. He is very glad to see the smiles of the people and is thankful for the warm welcome. Although, he asks one favor from the people, “Today the government has come to listen to all of your problems, no matter whose side you’re on. We always listen to everything, but we ask one for one thing only. Don’t go out in the public and express your opinions. Those in Bangkok have started to do so, I hope it doesn’t start here, please, doing such will only create negative impacts towards the nation. Don’t accept people who do this, as it’s not right, there are many channels where your voices can be heard, other nations also solve their issues this way. There is no need to shut down roads, situations like this must not happen again, we must work together in order to develop our country”.

Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha also commented on the worries of some people that the 500 THB given through the Welfare card will be used for useless items such as whisky. The prime minister stated that the money is to be used to help families with low income holding the Welfare card. Use the 500 THB to buy useful items, be honest with your family, use the money carefully and don’t spend it on alcohol.
