Growing concern over dengue fever
Nakhon Ratchasima mayor Surawut Cherdchai yesterday (Nov 7, 2018) ordered local officials to step up the eradication of striped mosquitoes after one more boy succumbed to dengue fever in the municipal area of this northeastern province, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.

Apart from Nakhon Ratchasima, the nearby provinces of Chaiyaphum, Buri Ram and Surin are also affected.
In these four provinces, a total of 6,735 people have been affected by the disease, with three dead. Most of the affected people are children between 10-14 years of age.
