Many areas flooded after all night rain

THE torrential all night rain led to high floods in Ngamwongwan area with small vehicles unable to go through and drivers are urged to avoid Soi Samakee, INN News reported this morning (Feb. 27).

There is also severe traffic jams in front of Central Plaza Rattanathibet with the tailback stretching all the way till Phra Nang Klao bridge.

Other areas in Ngamwongwan, to the north of Bangkok. which are heavily inundated include the stretch in front of The Mall shopping center, Dhurakij Pundit University and Phrachaniwet 3 housing estate.

Meanwhile Soi LaSalle and Soi Bearing in eastern Bangkok also got flooded.

According to the Thai Meteorological Department’s weather forecast, during Feb. 26-28 the sky over Bangkok will be partly cloudy with there being isolated thundershowers and gusty wind. Minimum temperature would be 24-26 °Celsius and maximum temperature 33-36 °Celsius. Southeasterly wind 10-30 km/hr.

During Mar. 1-4, the temperature will rise and it will be hot during the day with there being isolated thundershowers. Minimum temperature would be 24-27 °Celsius and maximum temperature 35-37 °Celsius. Southerly wind 10-30 km/hr.
