Where to park your yacht in Phuket

IT shouldn’t be a secret to anyone that Phuket is an island, and as such attracts every year a plethora of boats and yachts of all sizes. While most of us, unfortunately, do not have the luxury of having our own vessel, it makes for a fun day out to visit the various marinas scattered across the island, all located on the east side of Phuket.

Below are some of the most famous ones if you fancy a cup of coffee by the water, surrounded by lovely sea giants.

Royal Phuket Marina

Royal Phuket Marina

With a wet berth able to accommodate up to 100 vessels, some of which are 35 meters long, Royal Phuket Marina is a well-known symbol of luxury in Phuket. The whole complex houses several accommodations, restaurants and bars, a fitness center and even has some office spaces as well.

Grab a cup of coffee or lunch in one of the marina’s six restaurants, all facing the gorgeous view of boats and yachts waiting to go on a trip. You can find Royal Phuket Marina on the East coast of Phuket, down south in an area named Koh Kaew.

Boat Lagoon

Boasting an impressive 180 berths and 140+ hardstands, Phuket Boat Lagoon is also surrounded by residences and several restaurants and coffee shops thus plays host to both boat owners and locals willing to pay a visit.

This marina is the home of the unique Lighthouse Market, which showcases a variety of food and beverage products to try, alongside other souvenirs to bring home. Phuket Boat Lagoon is located nearby Royal Phuket Marina, a few hundred meters north on Thepkasattree Road.

Ao Por Grand Marina

Ao Por Grand Marina

One of the two marinas which can accommodate superyachts, Ao Por Grand Marina is located on the East coast, a few kilometers from the Heroines Monuments. Watching yachts bigger than 100 meters  is always impressive, and it can be done at the various eateries located on the property.

This part of the island is really laid-back, so I suggest you to wander along the shore to discover the true nature of Phuket

Yacht Haven

Finally, all the way up north of Phuket stands Yacht Haven, another marina able to welcome superyachts of more than 100-meter long. Located within the proximity of the airport, you can see the bay of Phang Nga right across the canal and you can observe the boats from the Haven Restaurant and Bar.

Happy sightseeing everyone!
