Registration opens for the disabled to get Covid vaccine

The Public Health Ministry and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security today (May 29, 2021) started the first round of registration of disabled people between 18 and 59 years old who will get Covid-19 vaccine at Sirindhorn Field Hospital for the Disabled.

The vaccination will continue until June 5, 2021 for people living in red areas in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan.

The list of the disabled people will be later sent to the Medical Department of the Public Health Ministry.

Public health officials will register the names of disabled people and send them to the officials concerned in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan. The name list will be further sent to the Medical Department of the Public Health Ministry.

“In the pilot phase, we expect to vaccinate 500 people who are visually impaired, over 60 years old or having underlying health problems, along with their caretakers,” said Deputy Public Health Minister Satit Pituthecha.

“Sixty registered candidates will be vaccinated per day, starting from Thursday until the inoculation target is reached.”
