All set for medical marijuana treatment

Khon Kaen Hospital will begin using marijuana oil for medical treatment today (20 August 2019), the Thai-language daily Matichon reported today.

Hospital director Dr. Charnchai Worachaikul said the hospital has received 4,500 bottles of marijuana oil from the Pharmaceutical Organization. Apart from Khon Kaen Hospital, marijuana oil will be distributed to 12 pilot hospitals around the country.

In Khon Kaen, registered patients will receive treatment on the 1st floor of the Kunakorn Piyachart Building at 1 p.m. every Tuesday. So today will be the first day that patients will receive treatment.

One bottle of marijuana oil can treat a patient for 3 months.
