TAIWAN EXPO 2023 announces the successful event in Thailand

Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA of Taiwan and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) announce the success of organizing TAIWAN EXPO 2023 in Thailand, with more than 20,000 visitors exceeding expectations throughout the 3 days of the event. There are more than 870 business matching meetings. Successful negotiations are expected to contribute to a future turnover of more than 3,785 million baht, in line with the objectives of promoting bilateral investment between Thailand and Taiwan. This year, the expo is presented ‘AI technology’ to build the future framework of smart cities together, under the theme “Let’s T-AI Together”. The next TAIWAN EXPO will be held in Malaysia, India, and Japan.

 

Mr. James C. F. Huang, Chairman of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), said that TAIWAN EXPO 2023 in Thailand is the first offline event held after changing the format of the event to an online format due to the COVID-19 outbreak over the past 3 years. This year event is considered to be very successful. TAIWAN EXPO 2023 has drawn attention of business operators, entrepreneurs, and Thai investors, totalling more than 20,000 people visiting the event throughout the 3 days of the event. There are more than 870 business matching meetings. Successful negotiations are expected to contribute to a future turnover of more than 3,785 million baht, in line with the objectives of organizing this event as a trade platform to promote bilateral trade and investment between Thailand and Taiwan, as well as jointly creating a framework for the future of smart cities through AI technology.

 

Visitors are interested in innovative products and technology solutions being showcased in 5 industry groups, comprising Smart City – presenting technologies used to create a smart city for the better quality of life of people; Smart Medical – responding to the healthcare trends and telemedicine system; Electric Vehicle (EV) – offering cutting-edge solutions in the electric vehicle manufacturing industry; Circular Economy – showcasing products that are made by renewable sources, or using recycled materials to create a sustainable economy; and Intelligent Lifestyle – providing a wide range of products that help facilitate daily life of people.

 

All of the 5 industry groups respond to Thailand’s strategic plan and economic development policy that eyes Thailand as the world’s major electric vehicle manufacturing base, and the center of ASEAN’s smart electronics and digital industries, as well as building communities into smart cities that are safe and livable, and developing a sustainable circular economy.
