Progress in medical marijuana
The Pharmaceutical Organization of Thailand (POT) has made good progress in growing marijuana plants in an enclosed area for medical use, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported yesterday (March 27, 2019).
According to POT chairman Sophon Mekton, the experimental farm is in Thanyaburi district on the outskirts of Bangkok.
Pain is the main reason people ask for a prescription, said Dr. Sophon, who is a pain medicine specialist.
In US states where medical marijuana is legal and doctors think it would help their patients, you will get a “marijuana card.” You will be put on a list that allows you to buy marijuana from an authorized seller, called a dispensary, according to Dr. Sophon.
