Abhisit won’t run for Bangkok governor
Former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva yesterday (Oct 14, 2019) dispelled the speculation that he is considering running for Bangkok governorship, the Thai-language daily Matichon reported.
In an interview with the paper, Mr. Abhisit also urged politicians and members of the public to listen to different viewpoints and make an informed decision regarding a call for constitutional amendments.
“I think many groups of people want to see stability in the country, but any constitutional changes must be carefully studied and take different viewpoints into consideration,” he said.
