Actor fuming at Cambodian website for running fake HIV report

A THAI actor is furious with a Cambodian website that published a fake report claiming he infected a well-known model with the HIV virus leading to her jumping to her death over the weekend, Thai News Agency reported this morning (Sept 12, 2018).

Prama, or Punjan, Imanotai went to file a complaint with Technology Crime Suppression Division police at 1 p.m. yesterday asking officers to take legal action against ratstas.com for posting a false report which defamed him.

Prama said this report falsely stated that he infected Kanyakorn, or Kae, Supakarnkhacharoen, a model and a businesswoman, with the HIV virus leading to her committing suicide last weekend.

He added that this report not only defamed him but also dishonored the deceased.

Pol Col  Siriwat Deephor, head of Technology Crime Suppression Division police unit 3, said the server of the Cambodia-registered  ratstas.com is overseas with the the administrator “Rattanaheng” also being a Cambodian.

He added that this website had posted fake news many time previously and the division had blacklisted it, asked the court to close it down and take legal action against those involved, but it had reopened again.
