Alleged US pedophile caught on Samui Island
AN alleged American pedophile was caught by Thai police while embarking on a ferry to the tourist island of Samui last night, Sanook.com reported today (Sept 23).
The 26-year-old suspect is wanted in the US for raping a five-year-old girl. The US embassy in Bangkok learned of his arrival in Thailand, and alerted Samui police, who caught him upon his arrival.
The suspect did not have a passport to show the officials, who initially charged him with illegal entry, pending further legal action.
