American YouTuber and friend face 100 baht fine

THE State Railway of Thailand has filed charges against an American YouTuber and his friend with this entailing 100 baht fine and is initially not pursuing criminal action against the two of them, INN News quoted Prawet District police as saying today (July 18).

Pol. Col. Alongkorn Sirisongkram, head of Prawet police station, said Nathan Bartling, or My Mate Nate who is famous for posting prank videos in Thai at his YouTube channel, and his friend posted a new video of their latest prank which is the taping of coins on railway tracks for trains to run over.

However SRT took action and today sent a representative to file two charges against the duo under Sections 84 and 87 of the Railway and Highway Ordinance Act 1921 which states that an unauthorized person may not enter its property nor conduct any illegal activities there with this entailing 100 baht fine.

However SRT has not yet filed criminal charges for unauthorized entry and damaging property.

Bartling and his friend who appeared in this video have confirmed they will be in to  hear the charges tomorrow afternoon, Pol. Col. Alongkorn said.
