Baby delivered on back of pickup truck
Off-duty female doctor Priyatat Charoenchang was driving home early this afternoon (Oct 14, 2018) when she saw a group of policemen and rescuers in white uniforms with sirens wailing on the roadside.
She stopped her car and was told that a pregnant woman was in labor at the back of a pickup truck. She jumped on to the bed of the truck and asked rescuers for a pair of surgery gloves.
After 15 minutes with everyone praying, the doctor delivered a healthy baby boy, to a loud cheer of everyone.
“It is the first time that I deliver a baby,” said Dr Priyatat. “I prayed and stayed calm to help this pregnant woman.”
