Big C bombers get life sentence

TWO men who took part in a bomb attack on a Big C superstore in the southern Thai province of Pattani have been sentenced to life in prison, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported today (Sept 21, 2018).

Sixty-one shoppers were wounded in the bomb attack on May 9 last year.

The Pattani Provincial Court initially sentenced the two men to death, but reduced it to life sentence. The two suspects confessed to the charges.

Arrest warrants were issued for 12 suspects in this bombing case but 10 of them are still at large.
