IN the biggest drug seizure this year, anti-narcotics police early this morning (April 17) seized 250 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) worth 750 million baht hidden under a pile of corn at the back of a 10-wheel truck, the Thai-language Daily News reported.
Acting on a tip-off, the police followed the truck after it crossed a bridge from Laos into the northern Thai province of Chiang Rai.
They arrested the driver and two companions when they stopped at a petrol station for a rest. The suspects said the meths were made by an ethnic North Wa group in Laos.
