Crystal meths worth B500m seized
Acting on a tip-off, Tak provincial police and narcotic suppression officers (Oct 18, 2019) seized 1.5 tons of crystal methamphetamines, better known as ice, worth more than 500 million baht, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.
The drugs were hidden under long metal sheets on the back of an 18-wheel truck.
The truck driver and his assistant said they were hired to deliver the narcotics to a drug dealer in Nakhon Pathom.
It took the police and narcotic suppression officers more than one hour to retrieve the pills from the secret chambers under the bed of the truck.
