Dog’s barks save owner from cobra

A pet dog last night saved its owner from a cobra which intruded into the compound of his home in the southern Thai province of Trang, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported yesterday (Jan 23, 2020).

House-owner Winai Sangtip (35) said he was watching television in his living room around 9.00 p.m. when his pet dog started barking loudly. He opened the back door and saw a big snake curling under the washing machine.

Mr. Winai called local volunteers, who put the snake in a cage. It was released into the forest in the morning.
