Driver shot dead for ‘disturbing neighbor’

A 37-year -old man in the northeastern Thai province of Khon Kaen was shot dead by a neighbor who apparently was disturbed by the loud music from his car.

Police investigators found the victim in the driver’s seat of his pick-up truck, which crashed into an electricity pole in Nong Niyom Village of Khon Kaen Province on Sunday evening (March 26), the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported today.

Witnesses said the victim drove into the village with loud music blaring from his car. As he drove off, another pick-up truck followed and a gunshot was heard.

The village’s CCTV was out of order that night, and no eyewitnesses have come forward to talk to the police, said Khao Sod.
