Drug gang arrested after a tip-off

A TIP-OFF and good investigative footwork by the police led to the arrest of a drug gang and seizure of 86,000 amphetamine pills and 200 grams of crystal methamphetamine (Ice), INN News reported today (Sept. 27).

Deputy National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Chalermkiat Srivorakan and the head of Narcotics Police Pol.  Lt. Gen. Sommai Kongvisaisong said three members of this gang were arrested after an informer told police a man known as Kane was selling and dropping off drugs in Phutthamonthon area.

Police were later able to follow and arrest the three suspects identified as Paritsadee or Kane Kingsawat, 26, Siroj or Fang Chanpetch, 24, and Miss Natcha or Mai Thongsa, 19.

The police team followed Kane as he drove a car in which Miss Natcha was seated in front and Siroj at the rear and saw them drop a package at a grassy underbrush in Soi Phra Baromrachenee 33 in Taling Chan district.

The police team then split into two with one following the car while the other picked up the package and found 6,000 amphetamine pills and 50 grams of Ice.

The other team then caught up and arrested the three suspects after which they searched their house in Nong Khang Phlu and seized an additional 80,000 amphetamine pills, 150 grams of Ice and 450 grams of Ketamine.
