Ex-minister registers new party
VETERAN politician Wan Muhammad Nor Matha today (Sept 12, 2018) registered a new party to contest the next general election, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
A former cabinet minister in the Thaksin Shinawatra administration, Mr Wan Nor said his Prachachart Party aims to win no less than 20 parliamentary seats in the next political contest.
“Our party will not support an unelected prime minister,” he said.
Mr Wan Nor declined to comment when asked by journalists whether he would join hands with political groups who support current Prime Minister Prayut Chan-0-cha.
