Fake brand-name glasses seized

IN one of its major operations this year, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) today (June 14, 2018) announced the seizure of fake brand-name glasses and  soccer jerseys worth more than 10 million baht from 10 trading stores in Bangkok, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.

The 60,000 seized items include glasses with the logos of Starbucks and well-known English Premier League football clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Sixteen Thai and Chinese traders of the fake items were arrested and charged with violating the copyright law.
