Former political reporter shot dead

A FORMER political reporter at a local newspaper was found shot dead in front of her luxury 2-storey house in Samut Prakarn around midnight last night, INN News reported today (Feb. 1).

However Bang Sao Thong district police later said the killer had contacted them and will be giving himself up shortly.

Pol. Capt. Deja Saruna, deputy investigation inspector at Bang Sao Thong police station, rushed to the scene of the crime around midnight last night after neighbors called to say that Ms Muanphrae Srisuwan, 32, was seen lying in pool of blood in front of her posh home.

Upon reaching the former reporter’s house police found her body near the smashed glass front door. She had been shot 4 times on her chest and body and once each on her cheeks, and had been dead for around 2 hours.

Police also found six .38 super bullet casings near her and drops of blood leading to the backyard.

Neighbors told police they heard sounds like gunshots but thought it was firecrackers being set off to mark the Super Blue Blood Moon last night. However, some other neighbors driving past her house around midnight spotted her lying in a pool of blood in front of her house and called the police.
