THAI police today (March 10) arrested the head of a car thief gang allegedly responsible for stealing cars in the northern province of Chiang Mai, Daily News said.
Car rental operators identified the 33-year-old suspect at Chiang Mai’s Muang District police station. The alleged conman confessed that he took the stolen cars to a garage, where they were disassembled and spareparts sold to garages in several northern Thai provinces.
The “good-looking” gang leader allegedly approached female car-owners and then stole their cars, which were worth altogether more than 20 million baht.
