Jobless graduate commits suicide

A 26-year-old college graduate in the northern Thai province of Loei committed suicide this morning (Sept. 4) after failing to find a job, Sanook.com reported.

Police found the victim’s body in a lake after her family alerted them that she had gone missing for more than 5 hours. Her parents said she became stressful after having been unable to find a job.

Yesterday, she went to a temple to make merit, and did not return home. The parents later found a suicide note in her bedroom.

“I am sorry for being stupid,” she said in the letter. “I have graduated from a college but have not been able to find a job. Please forgive me for doing this.”
