Malaysian tourist in ‘death jump’

POLICE are investigating the death of a 29-year-old Malaysian tourist whose body was found on the second-floor veranda of a photoshop in the Thai tourist town of Hat Yai early this morning (June 16, 2018), the Thai-language Daily News reported.

The tourist and 14 other friends checked in at a hotel, located on the 8th floor of the same building in which the photoshop is located, yesterday afternoon.

The dead tourist’s friends said they all went to bed after a round of drinking. “We all slept through the night and did not hear any noise,” one of them told police investigators.

The photoshop owner said he heard something fall on the veranda around 3 a.m. “I did not pay attention because people living upstairs always throw something down,” he said.

A forensics official will today perform an autopsy on the dead tourist, who had only an underwear on his body.
