Man held for butchering horses for sale
Chon Buri provincial police (July 20, 2019) arrested a 33-year-old man as he was butchering a horse at his home, the Thai-language daily Thai Rath reported.
The police raid followed a tip-off from Watchdog Thailand. The butcher said he has sold horse meat to vendors in the local market for a long time and on his Facebook page for 220 baht per kilogram.
Watchdog Thailand said it had received complaints from the locals about the illegal activity.
