Man held for lottery scam

A 25-year-old man was arrested in the northeastern Thai province of Kalasin this morning (May 3) for cheating hundreds of lottery buyers online, Sanook.com reported.

The suspect’s Facebook page displays a photo of the chairman of the State Lottery Bureau and encourages lottery enthusiasts to pay 15,000 baht to receive two- and three-digit winning numbers before the draw is announced.

The suspect closed his Facebook account and fled to another province after the latest lottery draw.
