Many Bangkok roads flooded after heavy rain

MANY key Bangkok roads got flooded today (Sept. 22) after heavy rain in several districts with Phaya Thai registering the heaviest downpour at 80 millimeters, INN News said.

Bangkok Flood Control Center said at 2 pm today it continued to rain in Taling Chan, Bang Phlad, Bang Sue, Dusit, Pom Prab, Phra Nakhon, Chatuchak, Don Muang, Phaya Thai, Din Daeng, Huay Kwang, Ratachathewi, Pathum Wan, Bang Na, Prawet, Phra Khanong, Suan Luang, Bangkapi and Wattana districts of the capital.

It was also raining in Nonthaburi’s Pak Kret and Bangkruay districts and in Pathumthani’s Lumlooka district.

Traffic is starting to move slowly on many roads because of floods creeping up for example Phahonyothin, Rama 6 in front of Tipco building and Si Ayuthaya Road where floodwater has reached the footpath.
