Mom asks police to detain drug-addicted son

A teary-eyed food vendor this morning (Dec. 8) went to Uttaradit provincial police station to file charges against her 26-year-old jobless son for taking narcotic drugs,Sanook.com reported.

“My son has been addicted to methamphetamines for several years,” she said. “He has taken all my valuables and sold them to buy drugs. I don’t know what to do.”

Provincial police chief Col. Disayadet Patcharapoowadon said he would take the young man to a drug rehabilitation center, where he will undergo a therapy.

“I hope he will become a good man after the therapy,” he told the crying mom.
