Nokia officially relaunches in Thailand

HMD Global, a Finland-based exclusive licensee of Nokia brand mobile phone, yesterday (May 18) launched its Nokia brand presence in Thailand on the first of the four-day ‘Thailand Mobile Expo 2017 Hi-End,’ the country’s biggest handheld devices consumer exhibition taking place at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC).

The launch event introduced three Nokia models ranging from entry to mid-level: Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6. The Nokia 3 will be available from the second week of June while the 5 and 6 will be available from end of June. (see accompanying photos)

The brand focused on its well-renowned Nokia brand, build quality, design, trusted system reliability (offering pure Andriod experience), simplicity and accessible values.

Nokia 5The retail price announced were as follows: Nokia 3 – 4,850 baht, Nokia 5 – 6,490 baht, and Nokia 6 – 7,990 baht. All phones are available for hands-on experience and 500-baht pre-order deposit at the expo.

Nokia used to be one of the country’s favorite mobile phone brands for the past decade before it ran into problems keeping up with market disruption caused by new technology, competitors, consumer behavior and preferences.
