PM Prayut warns people not to help Ital-Thai boss

PRIME Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha today (Feb. 8) issued a strong threat to those thinking about helping Italian-Thai Development Plc President Premchai  Karnasuta who has been charged with illegally hunting wildlife at a sanctuary that they too will be punished, INN News reported today (Fed. 8).

Gen Prayut said no matter how big a person is, he is in the wrong if it can be proven so, and all units have to verify the evidence.

He also warned that whoever dares to help Premthai, and it is up to them to decide whether to do so or not, but they too would be punished because wrong is wrong.

Premchai and his companions were arrested last Sunday in the western side of Thung Yai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary in Kanchanaburi on the charges of hunting wild animal but later released on bail.

Prime Minister Prayut also said that in his discussions yesterday with Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Junior, chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, US Department of Defense,  no questions were asked about the election date but the US general did encourage Thailand to proceed towards democracy.

Gen. Prayut said he confirmed that Thailand will proceed towards sustainable democracy while pointing out that US should understand the fundamental,  social, educational and income differences between the 2 countries.

Gen. Prayut also told Gen Dunford that Thailand will have a strong democracy at the right time with this arising from 2 factors, he himself regulating it and according to the law.

Regarding the waves of attack over the luxury watches Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwan has been seen wearing, Premier Prayut said he talks to Gen Prawit everyday and can confirm that he is in a good mood throughout.
