Police: No one smoked marijuana at airport
A PHOTO shared widely on social media seemingly showing a middle-aged man smoking marijuana through a makeshift plastic bottle pipe at Suvarnabhumi Airport has proven to be a false alarm as police have determined that no one broke the law by doing so, Thai News Agency said today (July 8).
Suvarnabhumi Airport police said they checked the security cameras which showed that this person is a Vietnamese tourist who walked with a plastic soft drink bottle to the smoking room near gate D8 but a detailed inspection revealed that the residue was not marijuana.
The police also asked for cooperation from passengers to quickly alert security guards or call 0-2132-4000 all 24 hours if they spot any wrongdoing or run into an emergency.
