Prime Minister ready to help support investors in Asean
The Prime Minister of Thailand General Prayuth Chan-ocha was a speaker at the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit: ABIS. The topic of the summit is “Business and Investment in Thailand and ASEAN”, The summit was held in Singapore at the Marina Bay Sands. Prime Minister Prayuth went to speak with the main goal of providing investors the confidence by ensuring support towards investors of Thailand and also investors of ASEAN nations together as one.
Prime Minister Prayuth stated that ASEAN nations are currently attracting investors more than any other group of nations in the world, as a reflection of a boost in investment money from the past few years and the number seems to grow every year. This helps ensure that international investors realize the potential of ASEAN nations today and in the future.
The Prime Minister then thanked the private sector for being such a strong part in the development of ASEAN and helping ASEAN to become more stable together as one.
The government is responsible to support the private segment by supporting the investment and business development, where together every nation in ASEAN can help provide support and develop regulations that will help the public sector and private sector work together in unity to fully boost ASEAN development on an international level.
The main goal is for ASEAN Nations to be able to connect together in a seamless level. Where all sectors can work together as one community. This connection can help ASEAN become one, this is represented in the “Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025” (MPAC 2025). Where the MPAC 2025 holds 5 main principles that will be the foundation for the nations to truly connect and work together in a level of being one. These are the principles,
- Sustainable Infrastructure
- Seamless Logistics
- Regulatory Excellence
- People Mobility
- Seamless Asean

Where Prime Minister Prayuth also stated Thailand will also internally apply these principles within the nation with achievement points which is to revolutionize the law, to provide businesses an easier pathway, technology development, and to create a base for logistics development.
