Small boy sleeps with dad’s dead body all night
A SAD accident occurred in Prachuab Khiri Khan province last night as a four-year-old boy cuddled and slept with his dead dad’s body all night after their motorized cart hit a rut and flipped off the road, Thai News Agency said today (April 7).
When rescue officials reached the scene in the morning they found that the body of the accident victim, Prasit Supiyachai, 51, of this province’s Muang district had hardened and estimated that he had been dead for no less than seven hours. There were injuries on his body but the cart was only slightly damaged.
Residents who first spotted the accident this morning said they saw the boy hugging his dead dad so took him to safety and called the officials. That they only saw the accident in the morning was because this area is poorly lit at night.
The deceased man’s mother Mrs Karn Supiyachai, 72, said her son, a car repairman, took his boy to a convenience store to buy food and sweets late last night and as he regularly drank might have lost control of the vehicle when it hit the rut which is at a spot people usually reverse their vehicles or could have been hit from the rear by another vehicle.
Police took photos of the accident scene and are gathering more evidence to determine the real cause of death.
