Thieves raid house in Gen Prawit’s housing estate

POLICE are quickly chasing a gang of thieves who raided the luxury house of a businessman in the same housing estate as Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prawit  Wongsuwan and made off with a lot of his belongings worth over 2 million baht, INN News reported today (June 6, 2018).

This businessman owns a company that produces and sells sanitary ware, and both his and Gen Prawit’s houses are in a luxury housing estate in Sai Kong Din Tai area of Bangkok’s Klong Sam Wa district.

Today Minburi police station detectives, together with investigators from Metropolitan Police Division 3, went to this housing estate to trace the path the thieves took, and check CCTV video clips, but as yet have not been able to reach any conclusion.

Meanwhile Pol Maj-Gen Sompong Shinduang, deputy head of Metropolitan Police, ordered the police in charge of this case to divide the investigation in tracking down the thieves.

This afternoon Deputy National Police Chief Pol Gen Chalermkiat Sriworakhan will be holding a meeting with the investigators at Metropolitan Police Division 3 headquarters to speed up the case and catch the thieves.
