Storm traps more than 100 Thais at Narita Airport

More than 100 Thai passengers are now trapped at Narita Airport as Japan is bracing for a monster storm expected to make landfall in the coming hours, the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported today (Oct 12, 2019).

Heavy rainfall and strong winds have continued to lash the airport, and Typhoon Hagibis is expected to make landfall in the coming hours, said the paper, quoting a report by CNN.

The Thai passengers are receiving updates about the storm through their mobile phones.
