2 cool places for desserts in Ari area
WITH the rainy season having officially started, it is a great time to enjoy some desserts as it pours outside, Sanook.com columnist Country Boy wrote this week
As this writer had some business to do in Ari area of Bangkok, he decided to add some energy by tucking into some sweet dishes at One Dee Café and Marigold restaurant in the area.

One Dee Café
This shop is just a small walk from Ari BTS station and it has the great idea of mixing ice cream with famous Thai desserts.
The writer ordered black sticky rice with coconut ice cream, and it was delicious. While he normally has this sticky rice as a snack, it was really tasty prepared this way.
Next was Thai tea ice cream with boba balls (small tapioca balls that are usually found in drinks) and crispy roti. It was very tasty – sweet and crisp to the right degree and a great mix.
Marigold
The writer then walked to Josh Hotel, a vintage style building in grey, green and blue tones which is steadily becoming popular. The restaurant, which is authentically Samui, was within the hotel but he chose to only have desserts.
The first dish was banana in coconut milk and the second mango with sticky rice, with both being delicious amid the superb décor.
Because it is so well decorated, this is a great place for taking photographs, with this including the swimming pool outside. The day the writer was there he by chance ran into the 25 Hours band, which added to the enjoyment of the desserts and appreciation of the décor.
