Among those close to him who are flying to UK to be with him on his birthday are his sister Yaowapha Wongsawat, a Phue Thai party leader and former minister Pongsak Raktapongpaisan, former energy minister Pichai Naripthaphan, former agriculture and cooperatives minister Yuthapong Charassathian who is the party’s leader in the North and Northeast, as well as several other former MPs and new generation party members.

A Pheu Party source said a key party leader Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan had already flown to England to wish  Thaksin a happy birthday, having reached there before the others and will be returning before they so.
