Dam reservoirs open for Songkran revelers
The Irrigation Department (IRD) will allow tourists to visit dam reservoirs around Thailand during the Songkran Festival this year, Sanook.com reported yesterday (April 10, 2019).
The department will also set up 117 new rest areas for travellers along main highways and roads during 12-17 April. New toilets have also been built for travellers.
“There is enough water for dam visitors to celebrate Songkran,” said IRD director-general Tongplaew Kongchan.
