Woman gets 9 months for stealing lottery from a blind man
A 58-year-old woman was sentenced to 9 months in prison for stealing 446 lottery tickets from a blind man in Bangkok.
The theft took place on 23, 26 and 27 November 2020 while the blind man was selling lottery tickets in Dindaeng District.
According to the Thai-language daily Khao Sod, the woman stole the tickets from Mr Taywa Pranasae as she talked to him about good lottery numbers that she was looking for.
In addition to the jail term, the Criminal Court ordered the woman to return the 446 lottery tickets to the blind man, or pay him 35,680 baht.
