Betong airport 95 percent complete
Construction of Betong airport in southern Thailand is expected to be completed in September this year, Transport Minister Akom Terpittayapaisit told the media yesterday (May 17, 2019).
The Thai government approved the airport project on October 6, 2015, with a budget of 1,900 million baht.
Betong is the southernmost Thai province, bordering Malaysia. With the new airport, the economy in Betong and other southern Thai provinces will greatly improve, said Minister Akom.
