Drunken cook assistant wakes up in roadside drain
A 29-year-old cook assistant in the northern Thai province of Chiang Mai woke up early this morning (August 8) and was shocked to find himself lying at the bottom of a roadside drain.
The cook had been drinking with his friends on Monday night and left for home before midnight. Friends called him this morning but there was no answer.
Police investigators believe the cook was thrown into the drain by robbers who stripped him of his gold necklace and cash, Sanook.com reported.
