First 2 soccer boys safely rescued

AT 6.50 p.m. today (July 8, 2018) it was reported that divers from various countries and Thai Navy Seals succeeded in bringing out the first 2 young soccer players from the huge and badly flooded Tham Luang cave, the Thai language daily Matichon reported.

The 2 boys have been put aboard a helicopter waiting for them at a temporary car park off Phaholyothin road to be taken to Chiangrai Prachanukroh Hospital.

The arduous diving operation started at 10 a.m. this morning and after the 2 boys reached Hall 3 in the cave, which is dry, doctors were waiting for them to check their health.
