Flying iron rod shocks female driver

A 38-year-old Thai woman got a close shave with death this morning (August 11) when a flying iron rod crashed through her car’s windshield while she was driving on the Don Muang-Rangsit Expressway, Sanook.com reported.

The incident took place about 6.30 am while the woman was driving towards Rangsit, on the outskirts of Bangkok. She stopped the car, called her sister and the insurance company.

“I am still frightened by the incident and can’t sit behind the wheel anymore,” she told police investigators. “This is a lesson for all car drivers that they must be alert at all times.”
