Luckless drug suspects held in car crash

TWO drug trafficking suspects are in police custody after their car veered off the road and hit an electricity pole on the outskirts of Bangkok early this morning (Dec. 25), the Thai-language daily Khao Sod reported.

Responding to an emergency call at 2 am, Rangsit District police found a man and his female companion trapped in their car. After an ambulance came to take the couple to hospital, the police searched their vehicle.

Much to their surprise, the police found 341 methamphetamine pills and a bundle of banknotes in the car compartment. The two suspects will be interrogated after recovering from their injuries.
