Nightclub bouncer robs English woman in Ao Nang, Krabi Province.
A nightclub bouncer has robbed an English woman in Ao Nang, Krabi Province. The bouncer committed the crime using a motorbike and reveals he had just left prison. The suspect states his victims are all female tourists. The Krabi Police and Ao Nang Police searched a home on 4 May 2022. Police received information of a robbery where the victim was a tourist from abroad. Investigation started and officials found out where the suspect lived. Inside the home, they found Panuwit Pagamas 39 years old a local nightclub bouncer in Ao Nang.
The suspect was arrested inside his own home. Police searched and found evidence that was used in the crime. This includes a red sweater, flip-flops, and a motorbike. Police also found items stolen from the woman including a purse, a phone, the victim’s driver’s license, and a watch. Panuwit admitted to the crime and was delivered with the evidence to the Ao Nang Police Station. Gabriel Morgan 23 years old and her boyfriend was walking on the road to their hotel when the suspect drove in from behind and pulled her purse. The boyfriend tried to chase the motorbike but it was no use.
Police collected security footage near the incident area and along the escape route. This helped them find out Panuwit’s identity. History shows he has previously gone to prison relating to the same charges in Chumphon Province. When he was released from prison Panuwit moved to Ao Nang and started a job as a nightclub bouncer. He then started to rob tourists and would only choose female tourists. The victim confirmed it was Panuwit and also received back her goods. The suspect is now waiting for prosecution.
