Punched up small boy dies on his birthday

A YOUNG boy who was badly punched on the face by his classmate died today (August 14, 2018), which is his birthday, after being in an ICU room for 12 days with his heartbroken family now preparing a funeral with a birthday cake, Sanook.com reported.

Nattawut or Nong Koh, a 7th grade student at Hat Yai Charoenrat Phithiya School in Hat Yai district of southern Songkhla province, was severely punched up on August 3 by Thane (assumed name), his classmate and a boxer, and was rushed to Hat Yai Hospital after fainting and suffering a cerebral hemorrhage.

Miss Sripanya, 38, Nong Koh’s mother said he died peacefully at 7.20 a.m. this morning, which is his 13th birthday, and told mourners to come blow the candles on his birthday cake while performing the funeral ceremony

She wants the police to take full legal action against the boy who caused him to die.

Pol Lt-Col Panya Wongsuwan, deputy head for investigation at Thung Tum Sao station, said this case is at the investigation stage and initially Thane was charged with injuring another person but now that Nong Koh had died, the charges will increase.
